Has it been another month already?! I just don't remember things going so insanely FAST with Mallory--I'm trying to drink up as much of this precious baby time as I can. If I blink gone will be the days of having two under two (maybe that's by design...) and I will have TWO toddlers on my hands instead. Hang on while I go cry for a second. Ok. Phew!
So, Mike did have a 4 month well-baby visit with his pediatrician and everything went great! He flirted with everyone he encountered, UNLIKE his big sister who is ever the skeptic. The doctor said he looked great and is hitting all of his developmental milestones appropriately. Yippee! One happy mama here. :)
Thanks to the ol' doc appointment, I have some down and dirty stats to share with you this time in addition to the mushy gushy mom stuff.
Numbers || 16 lbs (70th percentile), 25 in (50th percentile)
Diet || Breast milk.
Loves || Being in his Ergo, noise/commotion, his swing, Mallory, being tickled, seeing himself in the mirror, not wearing a diaper, being outside, baths, being talked to, and his hands.
Loathes || His carseat, having a dirty diaper and anyone other than Mom holding him.
Clothes || Mike is wearing size 4 diapers! How lucky am I to have both kids wearing the same size diapers?! Mike is a little chunk so his thighs need the extra room. We ave moved on to 3-6 month clothing, but if we are talking t-shirts he can wear 9 months. Short legs...he gets that from my side of the family. (Sorry son!) Just as we do with Mallory, we are already growing to prefer pants and a separate shirt for daily wear over a standard onesie. They are just more simple for us and seem to better control our kids' wild bodily functions... Oh! Zipper over button closure sleepers always and forever! To quote my husband "aint nobody got time for all them damn buttons." #truth

Sleep || Little dude is still an excellent sleeper! He usually sleeps from 8pm-8am, with 3-4 quick feedings sprinkled in there somewhere. He does like for me to lay down with him to fall asleep--but you won't hear me complain one bit!
Social/Milestones || Oh, the good stuff from last month just kept getting better any better! As you can see from the photos, he has mastered the hands in the mouth thing and is OBSESSED! Michael has also recently discovered that he has control over his tongue which is nothing short of hysterical to watch. It seems Mike is also developing quite a few preferences, for example, right boob over left, Mom over anyone else, upright versus laying down, etc. All very exciting and rewarding to be a part of! I absolutely LOVE having conversations with him. I talk to him and he makes baby noises and crazy facial expressions right back!
Health || Other than a slight booty rash, we are thankful to have nothing to report here!
